Minister Vijayvargiya and MP Lalwani got big relief from Supreme Court in 23 year old case

Indore
Senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya and MP Shankar Lalwani and other public representatives have got a big relief from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has rejected the private complaint registered in the 23 -year -old case. The case was related to developing the Pipalyhana pond in Indore, in which these leaders were accused of irregularities.

This was the case

The case is of 2001–2002, when Kailash Vijayvargiya was the mayor of Indore, and Shankar Lalwani, Ramesh Mendola, Madhu Verma and Umashshi Sharma were members of the Mayor Council. It was alleged that some land of Holkar Gharana was acquired and precious land was given in Navratanbagh, causing damage to the state exchequer. Advocate Anand Aggarwal, who filed a private complaint in the case, had made allegations against these public representatives. The matter first went to the District Court and then reached the High Court, where the High Court upheld the order against former Mayor Umashshi Sharma.

No legal action in the case now

The complainant then filed a special permission petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court. But the Supreme Court clarified that the government’s approval is necessary to prosecute public representatives. The court did not find any mistake in the decision of the lower courts and dismissed the complaint. This decision of the Supreme Court has brought great relief to Kailash Vijayvargiya, Shankar Lalwani, Ramesh Mendola and other public representatives. No legal action will be taken in this 23 -year -old case.
