India attacked the terrorist bases located in Pakistan and Ghulam Jammu and Kashmir (POK) at around 1:44 pm on the 15th day of the Pahalgam Terror Attack, which has shocked Pakistan. Pakistan has fired overnight in Jammu and Kashmir to remove its fury.
Defense sources said on Wednesday that 10 civilians were killed in heavy firing by the Pakistani Army overnight along the Line of Control and International Border in Jammu and Kashmir.
On the ceasefire violation by the Pakistani Army after India carried out a missile attack on nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir, he said that the Indian Army is also giving equal reply to the shelling.
10 innocent lives in Pakistan’s firing
Sources said that on the intervening night of May 6 and 7, the Pakistani Army arbitrarily fired in front of Jammu and Kashmir, including shelling from the artillery from the posts along the Line of Control and the international border. He said that 10 innocent civilians lost their lives in indiscriminate firing and shelling conducted by Pakistan.
Officials said that a woman was also included in the dead, whose house was hit by a mortar shell in Mankot area of Poonch district. His 13 -year -old daughter was injured. He said that about 48 other citizens were also injured in various sectors of Poonch in heavy shelling done by Pakistan.

Orders given to close school-college
Officials have ordered that all educational institutions in five border districts of Jammu region will remain closed on Wednesday. Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar told X, “In view of the current situation, all schools, colleges and educational institutions in Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri and Poonch will remain closed today.”
Explain that apart from Mankot, Krishna Valley in Poonch and Shahpur sector, Lam, Manjakot and Gambhir Brahmana in Rajouri district in Jammu region and Karnah in Karnah and Uri sectors are reported to have heavy shells in Karnah and Uri sectors.
People had to take refuge in bunkers
Officials said that the Indian security forces guarding the border also retaliated and the firing continued from across the border between the two sides till the final report was received. He said that people had to take refuge in underground bunkers due to Pakistani shelling. This was the 13th consecutive night of firing on the border in Jammu and Kashmir amidst the increased tension in Pahalgam on 22 April.
26 people were killed in this attack, mostly tourists. In response to this horrific massacre, the Indian armed forces carried out missile attacks on nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir early Wednesday, including Bahawalpur, a major base of the Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist organization.
The Indian Army said in a statement issued at 1:44 pm that the military attacks were carried out under ‘Operation Sindoor’. Directorate General of Public Information (ADGPI) of the Indian Army wrote on X, ‘Pakistan has once again violated the ceasefire agreement by firing from the artillery in Bhimber Gali in Poonch-Rajouri region. The Indian Army is responding properly.
Pak was continuously firing after the Indus Water Treaty suspension
After renewing the ceasefire agreement by India and Pakistan on 25 February 2021, the ceasefire violations on the Line of Control and International Border (IB) have reduced greatly. Since the night of 24 April, just hours after India suspended the Indus Water Treaty after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Pakistani soldiers starting from the Kashmir Valley and firing at various places on the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials said that after starting firing with small arms without provoking several posts on the Line of Control in Kupwara and Baramulla districts of North Kashmir, Pakistan rapidly expanded its ceasefire violations in the Poonch sector and then in Akhnoor sector of Jammu region. This was followed by small arms firing at several posts near the Line of Control in Sunderbani and Nowshera sector in Rajouri district.
