The central government has issued a notification on Tuesday to announce a cashless treatment scheme for road accident victims across the country. According to a gadget notification of the Ministry of Road Transport, under this scheme, the victim can get the benefit of cashless treatment up to a maximum of Rs 1.5 lakh in any recognized hospital for seven days from the date of the accident. The scheme has come into force from 5 May 2025.
