On the other hand, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has made strong purchases in some stocks. LIC bought shares worth more than Rs 47,000 crore during the March quarter, which has received a lot of support to the Indian market.
The portfolio of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) currently consists of a total of 351 shares. In the March quarter, LIC increased its share in 105 shares, including 13 new stocks. At the same time, the company has reduced the share in 86 shares and has removed it from its list due to full or less than 1 percent of the companies.
Big investment in Reliance and Heromotocorp
Indian life insurance has invested the most in Hero MotoCorp. The insurance company has increased its stake from 5.53 per cent to 11.84 per cent in Hero MotoCorp in the March quarter. At the same time, in Reliance Industries, he invested Rs 3675 crore during the March quarter, which increased its stake in the company from 6.52 percent to 6.74 percent.
LIC bets in these shares too
Apart from Reliance, LIC has given Rs 2,975 crore in LIS and Toubro (L&T), Rs 2,466 crore in Asian Paints, Rs 2,361 crore in Hindustan Unile, Rs 1,493 crore in Maruti Suzuki, Rs 1652 crore in SBI, Rs 1,638 crore in Patanjali Foods, Rs 1578 crore in Patanjali Foods, Rs 1578 crore in TATA MOTORS Bajaj has invested Rs 1983 crore in Auto, Rs 1441 crore in HCL Tech and Rs 1333 crore in Indrapam Gas.
Apart from this, it increased its stake in India Electronics, Nestle India, LTI Mindtree, Britannia Industries and ITC by more than Rs 1000 crore. In the March quarter, the company also invested in 13 new shares. The highest investment was made in IRFC, in which the insurance company purchased 1.05 percent stake for Rs 1815 crore. This is followed by Jindal Stanless and Kpit Tech, in which he invested about Rs 640 crore and Rs 485 crore.
Betted in these new shares too
The remaining new shares include Punjab & Sindh Bank, BLS International Services, JTL Industries, Environment Infra Engineers, Quality Power Electrical Equipments, Avallon Technologies, Jai Corp, Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing and Praveg. After separating from ITC Limited, the insurance company has bought an extra shares of Rs 3,325 crore of ITC Hotels.
How much is LIC’s total portfolio
LIC’s total portfolio stood at Rs 15.18 lakh crore at the end of the March quarter, which is slightly less than Rs 15.88 lakh crore in the previous quarter.
