After Madhya Pradesh’s capital Bhopal and Indore, cases of love jihad are coming from different districts. A case related to love jihad has also come up in Damoh. The Police Headquarters has constituted the State Level Special Investigation Team (State SIT) to investigate all cases related to love jihad in the state. The team’s command has been handed over to IG Abhay Singh of Bhopal countryside. As his associates, Bhopal Police Commissionerate Additional Police Commissioner Pankaj Srivastava and 3 senior officers of Police Headquarters will be there. SIT will monitor and coordinate cases of love jihad, rape and forced conversion.

The team headed by Nirmal Kaur, former DGP of the National Commission for Women, is in Bhopal to investigate the love jihad case of Bhopal. On Monday, the team will inspect the club 90. The Human Rights Commission, questioning the role of Bhopal Police, has sought clarification, assuming a delay in filing a complaint prima facie.
