Mild earthquake tremors were felt on Saturday and Sunday in Barwani and Multai (Betul) areas of Madhya Pradesh, whose intensity was recorded 2.8 on the Richter scale. Barwani felt vibrations for about one and a half minutes between 5 to 5:15 pm on Sunday evening. The epicenter of the earthquake was five km from the Narmada River. This was confirmed by the MEQ machine of the local earthquake center. Businessman Hemant Aggarwal said that the roof fan started shaking in his office.
