Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Arun Saw will churn for two days with the newly elected public representatives of urban bodies across the state. During this time, he will communicate with the Mayor, Municipality President, Nagar Panchayat President and other public representatives of the body on the upcoming five -year action plan of each urban body. The Urban Administration Department is organizing a two-day enlightenment program-cum-workshop “Nagar Suraj Sangam” on May 5 and 6 on May 5 and 6 at Hotel Babylon International in the capital Raipur for the newly elected public representatives of the bodies. It will include public representatives of all urban bodies of the state. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai will address the concluding session of the workshop on 6 May. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw has invited the mayors and municipalities of all the municipal corporations of the state and the presidents of the Nagar Panchayats for “Nagar Suraj Sangam”. He will inaugurate the two -day event on May 5 at 11 am.
Dr. Basavaraju S., Secretary, Urban Administration and Development Department Told that Deputy Chief Minister and Departmental Minister Arun Saw will communicate directly with the mayors of urban bodies, chairman, members of the mayor council, municipality and the presidents of the Nagar Panchayats in the workshop. They will also discuss the next five years of action plan of urban bodies. Dr. Basavaraju informed that the newly elected public representatives of urban bodies in the Prabodhan-cum-workshop will be informed about the schemes of the Urban Administration Department and the State Urban Development Agency (SUDA), and important provisions of various acts. The next five years of action plan will also be discussed for the systematic development of cities. He informed that on the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister Saw, the guide has been published by the department on the schemes of Urban Administration Department and State Urban Development Agency. This ‘Guide Booklet’ will be released in the Sav launch session.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw has written to the mayors and municipalities of all the municipal corporations of the state and the presidents of the Nagar Panchayats and invited them to participate in the enlightenment-cum workshop. Giving congratulations and best wishes for the urban bodies being elected in the general election in his pati, he has said that on the resolve of our good governance, the general public has also expressed their faith in the election of urban bodies on our policies and functioning. In future also, our effort will have to be kept intact by our public beneficial works. You are the first citizen of your city, which has also increased your responsibility. Our government is determined to make the city clean, beautiful and convenient with the cooperation of all of you.
Addressing the Mayor and Municipalities and the Chairman of the Municipalities and Nagar Panchayats, Deputy Chief Minister Saw wrote that as an initiative in our resolutions, the urban administration and development department has organized the enlightenment program-cum-workshala for the public representatives of the urban bodies. In this workshop, a detailed discussion will be made on the important provisions of various schemes and acts of the Urban Administration and Development Department and the State Urban Development Agency, the functioning and the next five years of action plan for the systematic development of the city of our government.
Saw has expressed confidence in his pati that by now you must have prepared the systematic and planned development of your city, I would like to make a meaningful discussion in this regard by communicating with you in this program. He has requested the Mayor, Chairpersons, members of the Mayor, Municipality and Nagar Panchayats of all the municipal corporations to participate in the enlightenment program-workshop.
