CRPF jawan Munir Ahmed, who married a Pakistani woman between Ind vs Pak War, dismissed his job

Tension continues between India and Pakistan. Meanwhile, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has dismissed his jawan Munir Ahmed from his job for hiding his marriage to a Pakistani woman. This work of Munir Ahmed was found to be harmful to national security. The last deployment of the jawan was in the 41st Battalion of CRPF, the major internal security force of the country.

Official sources told ‘PTI’ that he was dismissed from service under the rules under which investigation is not required. CRPF spokesman Deputy Inspector General (DIG) M Dinakaran said, “Munir Ahmed has been dismissed from service with immediate effect due to hiding his marriage to a Pakistani citizen and deliberately beyond the validity of his visa.”

Ahmed was detected after India’s marriage to Meenal Khan after India asked for Pakistani citizens to leave the country under diplomatic measures raised in view of Pahalgam terrorist attack. 26 tourists lost their lives in the terrorist attack on 22 April in Pahalgam. The two married on 24 May last year via a video call. The CRPF investigation found that the jawan did not inform the concerned authorities about their marriage and his stay in India.

After the terrorist attack, India has taken many tough measures against Pakistan. The central government had directed the top military officers of Islamabad in India, along with short-term-visa Pakistani citizens, to leave the country. Other action includes declaring military diplomats as unwanted persons, closing the Attari-Wagah border, preventing the Indus Water Treaty, preventing Pakistani ships from entering India and banning all Pakistani imports.
