Why will the banks be closed on May 1?
On Thursday, May 1, banks will remain closed in all states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Bihar, Kolkata, Goa, Andhra Pradesh. Banks are closed due to Maharashtra Day in Maharashtra. At the same time, banks will not open due to Labor Day in all other states. Banks are closed due to labor day here.

1 May (Thursday) – Labor Day / Maharashtra Day: Banks will remain closed in Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Guwahati, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Imphal, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna and Thiruvananthapuram.

Will online banking service be available?
Although bank branches will remain closed on these holidays, customers do not need to panic. Digital banking services such as UPI, IMPS, net banking and mobile apps will continue to work normally. Customers can make fund transfer, bill payment and other transactions. Customers are advised to deal with their bank branch work ahead of time, so that there is no discomfort during the holidays.
Exemption in schools for 46 days
The Madhya Pradesh government has announced a summer touch in government schools. Meanwhile, students will get relief from the heat and these holidays have been announced keeping in mind the safety of children. From May 1 to June 15, students are going to get 46 days off. While teachers will get one month leave
