A major crisis has recently come up in the Pakistan Army, when the leaked documents revealed that more than 250 officers and about 5000 soldiers have resigned. These resignations have been amid growing tension with India and is being seen as a deep morale crisis within the Pakistan Army. According to sources, the decisions of the high officials of the Pakistan Army are being held responsible for disagreement and increasing dissatisfaction within the army.
An internal paper, written by Lt Gen Omar Ahmed Bakhri to General Asim Munir, was clarified that the morale in the army had reduced. The letter also said that many officers and soldiers are feeling unable to perform their duties properly, due to which resignation is being done. According to reports, this crisis in the Pakistan Army deepened when tension with India increased on the border and excessive pressure on Pakistan’s army started increasing. This critical situation further promotes dissatisfaction within the Pakistan Army, and as a result the number of resignations has increased rapidly.
Experts say that this development can make Pakistan’s security situation more complicated. Pakistan is already struggling with internal instability and economic crises, and now this storm within the army has made the situation more serious. Although the Government of Pakistan has not issued any official statement about this, political and military experts believe that the government will have to take effective steps immediately to re -establish the morale of the army. Now it has to be seen how the Government of Pakistan and the army recover from this crisis and what steps will be taken to control this dissatisfaction.
