India, Sri Lanka and South Africa are set to play in the Tri -series starting on Sunday, April 27, 27 April. Sri Lanka is hosting this series. Colombo’s R Premdasa Stadium will host all seven matches of the tournament. The final match of the tournament will be played on Sunday, May 11, before all teams will get a chance to play 4-4 matches against each other. There will be a title battle between the teams living on the top-2 in the points table. This tri -series will be played in ODI format.
India has earlier announced its team for this series, in which left -arm spinner Shuchi Upadhyay and Mr. Charani and fast bowler all -rounder Kashvi Gautam have been included in the international team for the first time. Yastika Bhatia and Sneh Rana have also returned to the team. The Sri Lankan team will be commanded by veteran all -rounder Chamari Athapathu and the team has been included in the team, besides the uncapricated spinner Malki Madara, Piumi Vatsala and Davmi Vihanga.
The South African team has been included in the ODI team for the first time in the South African team. The Marjan Cap is not included in the team as he is “continuing its conditioning blocks for the upcoming tours and the preparation of the World Cup to be held in India.”
