New history of rural housing revolution is being written in Chhattisgarh

Raipur

A new history of these two rural development and social empowerment is being written in the state of Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. The Chhattisgarh government is an innovative campaign Mor Duwar- Through the Sai Sarkar, the poor, disadvantaged and housingless families are knocking them here and are trying to give them the rights of pucca house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

Chief Minister Shri Sai started this campaign from Ghatpadmapur village during his stay in Jagdalpur in the past. The rapid and quality implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is the top priority of the Government of Chhattisgarh. In the first meeting of the cabinet on the second day of assuming the post of Chief Minister, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai made this matter clear to 18 lakh families by granting approval of housing. The Chhattisgarh government is fulfilling its resolve to give pucca housing to every eligible family through this campaign.

The result of the ongoing rural housing revolution in Chhattisgarh is that now in the villages, especially in the villages, in the settlements of backward and poor sections, with the help of dilapidated houses of earthen and bamboo-balls, the hut of grass-swinging huts are now seen or being built as clean pucca houses. There is no village or Majra-Tola from the plains of the state to the remote Vananchal, where 8-10 pucca houses are not built through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. This scheme is not only giving roofs to millions of poor families, but also giving impetus to employment, trade and industries. This has accelerated business related to cement, bricks, bars and construction materials. It is a balanced model of public welfare and economic development.

The state of Chhattisgarh has been given a target of 11,50,315 rural houses for the year 2024-25 by the Government of India, out of which 9,41,595 houses have been approved so far. This effort has become even wider by Union Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s approval of additional 3 lakh houses to the state during his stay in Chhattisgarh. This is the largest rural residential initiative ever in the history of Chhattisgarh.

The state government is providing pucca houses under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana to the eligible families of all classes of the society as well as Baiga, Kamar, Pahari Korwa, Abujhmadia and Birhor special backward tribes. More than 15 Kamar families have been provided with pucca houses under the PM Janman Yojana in Kamar Basti of Dhansuli village in Mahasamund district. This has brought stability in the lives of these tribal families and they are also benefiting from other schemes of governance.

Mor Duwar of the Government of Chhattisgarh-Sai Sarkar Abhiyan is operated in three phases till April 30, in which the eligible beneficiaries will go door-to-door survey and read the list through gram sabhas and ensure coverage of 100 percent eligible families, as well as public honors will be honored for completing the survey. Chief Minister Shri Sai going to the village to launch the survey work and get information about the beneficiaries about them is a proof that the state government is fully sensitive and determined about the effective implementation of this scheme.

Active participation of public representatives, public and local artists has been ensured to give this campaign the form of mass campaign. People are also being inspired by the nominated persons as PM Awas Panchayat Ambassador. Transparency and easy availability of information have been ensured through home portal.

In addition to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana is being run by the Government of Chhattisgarh to provide firm housing to the needy families in the state. Under this scheme, 38,632 houses have been sanctioned so far against the target of construction of 47,090 houses. On the special initiative of the state government, 15,000 special houses have been approved for the surrendered Naxalites and Naxal victims families, which are being constructed. Under the PM Janman Yojana, 27,778 houses have been approved so far to achieve the target of construction of 42,326 houses for families of special backward tribes, out of which 6,482 houses have been completed. So far 477 houses have been completed under the Need-Nella-Nar Scheme.

It is the success of this scheme by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to enter 3 lakh beneficiaries from Bilaspur on the first day of Chaitra Navratri. 18 lakh eligible beneficiaries were deprived of housing by the previous government. The Chhattisgarh government is now working towards bringing every beneficiary its rights. Peacock Duwar- Sai Sarkar is a symbol of the sensitivity of the campaign, transparency of policy and commitment to the public. This campaign is not only the success of the scheme, but is an important step towards the creation of a strong, strong and self -sufficient Chhattisgarh.
