Illegal sand excavation continues in Gram Panchayat Bichiatola, no action despite complaints
The case of illegal sand excavation in Gram Panchayat Bichhiyatola is becoming serious. The sand mining is not taking the name of the sand mining even after the allegations made by the sarpanch husband and sand contractor Prashant Shukla by Upsarpanch Rishabh Tiwari.
According to the information received, despite the complaints, illegal sand mining continues through heavy machines and green equipment by Prashant Shukla. This is not only harming the environment, but also raising questions on the administrative system.
The current sarpanch Sonkunwar had also complained to the Superintendent of Police and the Collector about theft and irregularities against the sand contractor Prashant Shukla and Panchayat Secretary TP. Despite this, no concrete action has been taken so far.
The most shocking thing is that the Department of Minerals is also completely silent on this whole matter. The silence of the department seems to give more strength to illegal mining.
Local villagers have demanded from the administration that strict action should be taken against the culprits by investigating the matter so that illegal activities in the Gram Panchayat area can be stopped.
