Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has congratulated the people of the state on the release of cheetahs in Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary of the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the opportunity to release 2 leopards in Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary is a matter of happiness. This disappearance was often brought to Madhya Pradesh in September 2022 with the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Now the clan of these cheetahs is increasing.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the release of 2 cheetahs in Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary in Mandsaur district is an important step. “Cheetah Project” is an ambitious project in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said in discussion with media representatives that the purpose of this project is to increase the number of cheetahs in India and save their species. We are also getting success in this. Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary is the second place in the state where the cheetahs are being settled. Today is a historic day in terms of wildlife tourism.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that to increase the number of cheetahs, cheetahs from South Africa, Kenya and Botswana are being settled in the forests of Madhya Pradesh. Kuno National Park in Sheopur district currently has 26 leopards. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in other countries of the world, there were efforts to restore cheetah but could not get that much success. This project is succeeding in India. Here the rate of cotton sir is the highest compared to other countries. The forest and atmosphere of Madhya Pradesh is compatible with cheetahs. After Kuno in the state, Gandhi Sagar is also becoming his home. Gandhi Sagar is a wild sanctuary located in western Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this sanctuary is spread in Mandsaur and Neemuch districts in Ujjain division of the state. There must have been leopards in the area several hundred years ago. Years after extinction, now their re -arrival is also auspicious for wildlife tourism. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary is part of the world famous quadrilateral drain for rock paintings. Certainly tourism will increase in the area. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of the famous Prime Minister Shri Modi, Madhya Pradesh is working on the mantra of Vikas along with the protection of heritage.
