Toll booths will end, tax will be deducted from satellite

The Government of India is going to take a big step towards modernizing the transport system in the country. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari recently announced that a new toll policy will be implemented soon, after which toll plazas across the country will be removed and toll cutting will be digital.

What is new toll policy?

Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari recently informed that the Government of India is going to implement a new toll policy across the country. Under this new policy, there is a plan to completely remove physical toll plazas. This decision has been taken with the aim of increasing traffic speed, preventing corruption and saving time to people.

New system of toll recovery: satellite tracking

Under the new system, the number plate of trains will be tracked via satellite. As soon as a train enters the toll area, satellite technology will recognize its number and the related amount will be deducted directly from the vehicle owner’s account.
This technique will eliminate manual toll collection and the long jam on the toll plaza will also become a matter of past.

How long will New Toll Policy be implemented?

According to Nitin Gadkari, this policy can be implemented across the country in the next 10 to 15 days. Although he did not share detailed information about this, it is certain that its pilot project will be started in some parts first and then the entire country will expand.

There will be a big improvement in road infrastructure

The Union Minister also said that India’s road network will be better than America in the coming two years. He claimed this on the basis of highways, expressways and new technologies being built in India. Giving the example of the Mumbai-Goa highway, he said that the project could be completed by June 2025, which will make a big cut between the two cities and a big cut.

People save time in travel

The removal of the physical toll booth will increase the speed of traffic. So far, long queues on tolls take hours, which will be eliminated with the automatic cutting system.

Transparency from digital transaction

The toll cut process from the satellite will be completely digital, which will maintain transparency and no disturbance or scam will be possible.

Decreased fuel and pollution

Stopping the trains at the toll booth burns fuel and pollution. Now when the vehicles run without stopping, pollution will also decrease and fuel will be saved.

What are the challenges?

Although this system seems very beneficial to hear, there may be some challenges in implementing it:

  • Putting high-quality number plate in all vehicles
  • Internet and satellite system access to rural areas
  • Ensure data safety and privacy

All these aspects are being worked on by the government so that these obstacles can be removed in the coming time.

Description: Nitin Gadkari, while announcing the new toll policy, said that toll plazas will be removed from India. Now the satellite will identify the vehicle number plate and the toll automatic will be deducted. This will make the journey easier and there will be a revolutionary change in infrastructure.
