Under the new system, the number plate of trains will be tracked via satellite. As soon as a train enters the toll area, satellite technology will recognize its number and the related amount will be deducted directly from the vehicle owner’s account.
This technique will eliminate manual toll collection and the long jam on the toll plaza will also become a matter of past.
How long will New Toll Policy be implemented?
According to Nitin Gadkari, this policy can be implemented across the country in the next 10 to 15 days. Although he did not share detailed information about this, it is certain that its pilot project will be started in some parts first and then the entire country will expand.
There will be a big improvement in road infrastructure
The Union Minister also said that India’s road network will be better than America in the coming two years. He claimed this on the basis of highways, expressways and new technologies being built in India. Giving the example of the Mumbai-Goa highway, he said that the project could be completed by June 2025, which will make a big cut between the two cities and a big cut.
