Board of Control for Cricket in India took strict action on Team India’s support staff, 4 leave including Nair

New Delhi

The Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) played between India and Australia has shown strict attitude after the Indian team’s disappointing performance in 2025. Taking hard action, BCCI has made a big change in the team’s support staff. BCCI has removed 4 employees from the Indian team, including assistant coaches, fielding coaches, strength and conditioning coaches and a massage.

The biggest thing is that in these, the special Abhishek Nair of Head Coach Gautam Gambhir has also been discharged. Abhishek Nair was associated with Gautam Gambhir since the days of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

When Gambhir became the head coach of India, Abhishek Nair was also included in the support staff. Abhishek Nair was made assistant coach of Team India on 24 July 2024.

Apart from Abhishek Nair, Fielding Coach T Dilip Strength and Conditioning Coach Soham Desai have also been discharged from Team India’s support staff. At the same time, a massage (physio support staff) has also been removed. However, what is the name of this massage, it has not been done.

Gambhir dominated the coaching staff
After Rahul Dravid’s head coach T20 World Cup 2024, the term ended after 2024. After that Gautam Gambhir was appointed as India’s new head coach on 9 July 2024. The former Indian star took a large part of his coaching staff from Kolkata Knight Riders, which included Abhishek Nair, Ryan Ten Doeshet and Morne Morkel (Morkel bowling coach when there were serious mentors in Lucknow Super Giants).

Who is now in the support staff of Team India?
The Indian team was seen struggling in the Australia Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) after a shameful 0-3 defeat in the domestic Test series against New Zealand. After this, the BCCI appointed NCA and India -e -coach Sitanshu Kotak as a batting coach for white ball earlier this year. Kotak was associated with Kotak Team India in the series against England.

Despite the initial failures, Gambhir and his coaching team made a strong comeback and gave India the title of Champions Trophy. Nair, Ten Doshet, Morkel, Dilip and Kotak were all prominent members of the support staff during the winning campaign. Nair’s term with the Indian team is over, but the rest of the players will still remain in the team and will replace their former companions.

Team India’s new staff will be available before June 20
The Indian team can meet the new associate staff before the five -match series against England starting on June 20. India’s next challenge will be in the five -match Test series against England, where it will have to be seen, who replaces BCCI Abhishek Nair and T. Dilip.
