Washington
US President Donald Trump is showing softening by bringing seduction in his stand on one after the other. First he banned the reciperook tariff for 90 days. After this, he also softened Iran and put a brake on Israeli attacks on its nuclear bases and now he has shown softening on the issue of war -torn Ukraine. Media reports stated that Trump has given his consent to the Minerals deal with Ukraine that there will be no military aid loan given to Ukraine.
Reports states that negotiations on the latest draft of Ukraine-US Minerals Deal are going on. In this, the Trump administration has agreed to not accept military aid to Ukraine as a loan. However, it will be necessary to repay that amount without interest. However, neither America nor Ukrainian officials have confirmed this. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodimir Jailonsky has said that the minerals have appreciated the deal and said that there has been good progress in the case.
No demand for 4 percent interest
Let me tell you that earlier the minerals dealing between the US and Ukraine, Trump had spoken of complete control over Ukraine’s energy and other natural resources and in addition to this, 4 per cent interest was demanded on the repayment of American aid so far. However, Ukraine opposed these conditions and stated that these conditions are violent, which would convert Ukraine into American colonies.
America relaxed in terms, but obstacles continue
A senior official familiar with the conversation told AFP that the US-Ukraine mineral deal has not recognized US aid to Ukraine as a debt. However, it will have to be repaid. According to the report, there are still some major obstacles in finalizing the deal because the US is not trying to give any security guarantee to Ukraine even in the new draft.
According to Bloomberg, the Trump administration wants Ukraine to assist so far, which is about 90 billion dollars, considered as contribution to the joint fund, which will be designed to manage Ukraine’s natural resources. This means that Ukraine will have to put most of the funds in this fund. American Treasury Secretary Scott Basainnt has said that he hopes that the mineral deal with Ukraine will be signed this week.
