Raipur police has got a big success against online betting. The police have arrested a total of 14 bookies, including 8 inter -state, while busting the online speculative network spread across the country through Mahadev Satta app. The accused Mahadev app panels L95 Lotus, Lotus 651 and Lotus 656 were sitting in Kolkata and Guwahati (Assam) and driving betting. All the bookies were running online betting in the IPL 2025 season.
In this action, 3 books from Jharkhand, 2 from Madhya Pradesh, one each of Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and 6 from Chhattisgarh are included. The police have recovered a total of 67 mobile phones, 8 laptops, 4 routers, 94 ATM cards, 15 SIM cards, 32 bank passbooks, 3 checkbooks, 1 security camera, 4 power extension camera, 4 power extension camera, 4 power extension camera, 4 power extension camera, 4 power extensions board and speculative accounts, which is worth about 30 lakh rupees.
Cases have been registered against the accused under Section 4 (a) of Chhattisgarh Prohibition Act 2022 under Crime No. 73/25 in Devendra Nagar police station Devendra Nagar under Sections 318 (4), 61 (2), 112 (2), Indian Wire Act 25C. Also, sections 336, 338, 340 BNS are also being added.
Transactions worth crores from 500 bank accounts
The accused used about 500 bank accounts for the transaction of money, in which crores of rupees have been transacted. Information about these accounts is being called from the respective banks and the process of freezing more than 1500 bank accounts has also started.
How did the action take?
The police received a local input on 13 April, on the basis of which accused Nikhil Wadhwani was arrested in Devendra Nagar area. After this, on the basis of questioning and technical analysis of the accused, the police took red action in Kolkata and Guwahati (Assam), taking red action in Kolkata, 06 accused from Ashiana apartment in New Town Rajghar and 02 accused from Tulsi Vihar apartment in Rajarhat and red action in Guwahati, including 06 accused from Mahendri Apartments in Beltola, were red -handed. The accused were operating by the accused from the panel of Mahadev app L95 Lotus, Lotus 651 and Lotus 656.
