In the Jyotirlinga Mahakal Temple, Vaishakh Krishna Pratipada has started to flow cold water streams with the urns of Lord Mahakal. At 6 in the morning, the priests called the holy rivers and tied the Galatika of 11 earthen urns of the Lord.
Even in the famous Mangal Nath temple, Galantika has started to tie Lord Mangalnath to provide coolness in the scorching heat of Vaishakh. Pt. Mahesh Pujari said that in the worship tradition of the Mahakal temple, there is a recognition of two months of strong heat from the Pratipada date of the Krishna Paksha of Vaishakh month to the Jyeshtha Purnima.
In these 60 days, there is a tradition of flowing water streams from the mud of God to provide coolness to Lord Mahakal. Galantika is tied daily from 6 am to 4 pm every day for two months. It started on Sunday. The priests called the Ganges, Yamuna, Kanveri, Narmada, Shipra etc. rivers and tied the Galantika of 11 Kalash in their names.
Galantika tied after Panchamrit Pujan
Galantika was tied on Sunday in the famous Mangalnath temple called the birthplace of Mars. In the morning, Gadipati Mahant Jitendra Bharti worshiped Lord Panchamrit Abhishek and offered rhetoric. After this, the head of God was tied.
Mahant Bharti said that Lord Mangal Nath is a god of renunciation like Angarakaya. Their nature is considered warm. Therefore, they are happy to offer water, panchamrit and rice. It is also important to offer cold fragrant substance, cold flowers etc. to God in summer.
