At least three terrorists are reported to have been killed in Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir. The security forces have killed Jaish commander Saifullah, Farman and Basha in an encounter in the forests of Naidgam in Chatari. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition have also been recovered from the encounter places. At the same time, search operation of security forces is still going on.

A junior commissioned officer (JCO) of the Indian Army was martyred during an encounter with terrorists in Akhnoor sector of Jammu. According to the information, this soldier was seriously injured by taking on the terrorists last night. He was immediately rushed to a military hospital for treatment, but could not be saved despite all efforts.

According to reports, security forces have launched a major campaign against terrorists in Udhampur and Kishtwar districts. During this time it was reported that terrorists from across the border are hiding in these areas. However, then the security forces did not get success. After this, a reward of Rs 5-5 lakh was declared on all three. It was learned that other terrorists, including Jaish-e-Mohammed Commander Saifullah, are hiding in Chhatru forest in Kishtwar district. The army then conducted a joint search operation with the police and the terrorist Saifullah was piled up with two other accomplices.

It is being told that two terrorists were killed late Friday night. A terrorist was killed on Saturday morning. The operation included Army and Para Commando, CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police. The search for a terrorist is still going on. Taking advantage of dense forests, terrorists often try to infiltrate and attack. Therefore, this campaign was run in dense forests. The army also launched helicopters and drones to locate the terrorists.

High alert declared in the area

The Army’s Jammu -based White Knight Corps issued a statement stating that the operation was carried out despite the bad and unfavorable weather. A large quantity of ammunition and war material have been recovered during the encounter, including an AK-47 and an M4 rifle. At present, the operation is going on in Kishtwar and a high alert has been declared in the area.

This was the second such meeting since February in an attempt to reduce stress after about a dozen incidents of firing from across the border and an IED attack. The Indian Army has lodged a strong protest in front of its counterparts for terrorist activities and ceasefire violations from across the border.
