Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai attended the 18th trial session of the All India Electricity Mazdoor Mahasangh held in Gudiyari in the capital Raipur today. Chief Minister Sai welcomed the Shramvir from 21 states at the session in the maternal grandmother of Lord Shri Ram and wished him Hanuman Jayanti. He said that the Shramvir from all over the country has come here and has done a big message of unity and harmony. Sai said that Lord Shri Ram spent 10 years out of 14 years of exile here, which is a matter of pride for the state.
The Chief Minister said that when the first government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was formed in the country, he had taken important decisions to protect the interests of the workers as the Minister of State for Labor. He said that the minimum pension for the workers was fixed and the unclaimed amount of PF was used in the interest of the workers.
The Chief Minister said that at present, everyone considers the importance of electricity well. He said that there is electricity surplus in Chhattisgarh, but in view of the increasing demand for electricity in the coming time, work is being done towards increasing power generation capacity. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave two power projects of 1350 and 850 MW in the state.
Sai further stated that investment proposals of Rs 3 lakh 50 thousand crore have been received in the field of energy. He said that through PM Suryaghar Free Power Scheme, work is being done to provide electricity to every house in the state. With this initiative, we are moving towards giving free electricity from half electricity and the state government has also made provision in the budget for subsidy for the scheme.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister paid a lifetime dedicated to the welfare of the workers and remembered the contributions of Dattopant Thangdi and bowed to their contributions.
On this occasion, the ministers and in -charge of All India Electricity Mazdoor Mahasangh, Radheshyam Jaiswal, Madhusudan Joshi, Mrs. Shobha Singhdev, and electric workers from 21 states across the country were present.
