Trade war between America and China seems to reach peak, China’s 125% strike on Trump’s tariff attack

Washington
The trade war between the US and China is seen reaching the peak. China has increased the tariff rate on import of US goods from 84% to 125%, which will be applicable from Saturday. Along with this, China also said that if the US now increases the tariff, it will not retaliate because the policies of the Trump administration have now become a joke. The Finance Ministry of China has taken this decision when the White House has made it clear that it has increased the tariff to 145% on Chinese goods. China said that business with America is no longer practical under these circumstances. Earlier on Wednesday, China announced to impose 84% tariff on US goods.

Blow in China-America
Tariff War between the US and China continues from the beginning of this month. Last week, US President Donald Trump announced a 34% additional tariff on Chinese goods, which was scheduled to come into force from 9 April. A few hours before its implementation, Trump suddenly announced further increase in it. China immediately answered this. On Wednesday, Beijing increased the tariff on American goods to 84%. The very next day, on Thursday, the US took another major step and increased the tariff on goods coming from China to 145%. At the same time, giving a temporary discount of 90 days to other countries, reduced the tariff to 10% for them to 10%.

China will no longer retaliate
The statement released by the Finance Ministry on Friday said, ‘American goods at the current tariff rate are no longer marketable in China. If the US increases more tariffs on Chinese exports, China will ignore such steps. The Chinese Commerce Ministry said in a separate statement that Washington’s repeated use of excessive tariffs has now become only a ‘number game’, which is economically meaningless and highlights the policy of America’s pressure and threats. The ministry said that it has become a joke. However, China also warned that if the US continues to violate its rights and interests, it would firmly retaliate and fight till the end. China also said that America will have to take full responsibility for the damage caused by tariffs.

Stress on films and studies too
Now this dispute has not stopped only on goods. In recent times, tension has reached the tension services and mutual relations between the two countries. On Thursday, China announced a cut in the number of American films, indicating that the revenge action was now proceeding. On Wednesday, China alerted its citizens about the visit to America and warned students of risk regarding studies in some American states.

700 billion dollars trade in both countries
Prior to 2025, the import tariffs imposed on each other by the two countries were less than 20% on average, but now the situation has changed considerably. Every year there is a trade of about $ 700 billion between the US and China. If no solution is found soon, then the increased tariff will be directly affected by consumers and companies of both countries. They will have to change their supply chain so that the tariff can be avoided. Last year, America’s three biggest import smartphones, laptops and lithium-ion batteries from China were batteries. At the same time, the most valuable export liquid to China from the US was liquid petroleum gas, crude oil, soybean, gas turbine and semiconductor making machines.
