Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput has directed to conduct e-KYC of eligible beneficiaries of National Food, Security Act by 30 April. Minister Rajput has said that under the National Food Security Act, instructions have been received by the Government of India to complete the e-KYC of the remaining 108.27 lakh beneficiaries out of 543.31 lakh eligible beneficiaries by April 30. The beneficiaries may have difficulty in getting food grains if all the eligible beneficiaries are not e-KYC in the time limit. Therefore, instructions have been given to complete all eligible beneficiaries within the e-KYC time limit.
Minister Rajput informed that a special campaign to conduct e-KYC in the state is being conducted from 9 April to 30 April. In the special campaign, the list of all the eligible beneficiaries left from e-KYC has been made available on POS machines, local bodies, JSO logins. He informed that the cooperation of the local staff of Panchayat and Rural Development Department and Urban Administration Department is being taken in the special campaign.
E-KYC will be done by setting up camp
Food Minister Rajput has said that in the campaign, e-KYC of the beneficiaries should be done by setting up village wise and neighborhood camps. Camps should be organized in other villages or locality only after e-KYC of all the beneficiaries of the village or locality to the parties constituted to e-KYC. During the e-KYC, if a family member’s death, permanent migration and duplication will be entered on the M Ration Mitra portal for deletion from the login of the local body.
Instructions issued to all divisional commissioners and collectors
Rashmi Arun Shami, Additional Chief Secretary of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, has issued instructions to all divisional commissioners and collectors to seriously complete the e-KYC work to complete the e-KYC work for completing the district wise from 9 to 30 April. ACS Smt. Rashmi Arun Shami has said that according to the number of the remaining beneficiaries from the e-KYC, the e-KYC of 100 percent eligible beneficiaries should be completed in the time limit as per the daily target prescribed for the districts. He has also instructed the officers to make widespread publicity for awareness of e-KYC work.
