Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today launched the ‘Jharia’ Alkaline Water Bottling Plant at Pachera in Nawa Raipur Atal Nagar. The plant will be operated by Sharda Self-Help Group of Pachera, Abhanpur. On the inauguration of the plant, Chief Minister Sai interacted with the groups of the group and took information about the alkaline water bottling plant. On this occasion, he also tasted the taste of the alkaline drinking water of the plant and said that alkaline water is extremely beneficial for the body. Chief Minister Shri Sai described the operation of the packaged drinking water unit by the women of the Bihan group as an inspirational example of encouraging women entrepreneurship.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai also launched Jharia Mobile App and Web Portal. This app will allow people to demand online alkaline drinking water. It is noteworthy that this plant has been set up with the joint support of Nava Raipur Atal Municipal Development Authority and National Rural Livelihood Mission ‘Bihan’. Ten women of the group are operating the plant in this plant. By establishing technical guidance and coordination by the Bihan team, they are being provided continuous support towards livelihood enrichment.
This plant is fully equipped with modern techniques, in which all arrangements ranging from processing to packaging have been ensured according to high quality standards. Two laboratories with the latest machines have also been installed in the plant, which ensure the purity and alkaline levels of water and control. This plant will ensure easy availability of high quality alkaline water to the people of Raipur, Nawa Raipur and surrounding areas.
In this plant, about 10 women of Bihan will be able to become self -sufficient by joining the continuous self -employment and they will get a strong opportunity to move towards the goal of ‘Lakhpati Didi’. Consumption of alkaline water keeps the pH level of the body balanced. Alcine water improves hydration, weight is controlled, bones are strong and the body is naturally detox. Along with this, it improves skin health and is also helpful in keeping the heart healthy.
The group’s Didis said that the packaged drinking water 500 mL bottles will be supplied from this plant. Drinking water supply from glass bottles reduce the use of plastic bottles and will improve environmental balance and will get rid of plastic -borne side effects. Also, there will be concrete initiative towards developing the Nawa Raipur region as ‘No Plastic Zone’. This packaged drinking water will be supplied according to demand in government and non-government institutions.
Group president Poonam Barle told Chief Minister Sai that on the very first day, he has received a demand for 200 bottle packaged drinking water from Nawa Raipur, which the women of the group are delivering through e-rickshaws themselves.
On this occasion, Finance Minister O.K. P. Chaudhary, Arang MLA Khushwant Saheb, Industry Secretary Rajat Kumar, NRDA Secretary Ankit Anand, NRDA Chief Executive Officer Saurabh Kumar, Collector Raipur Gaurav Singh, Commissioner Public Relations Dr. Ravi Mittal and CEO Zilla Panchayat Kumar Vishwaranjan were present.
