Water Resources Department Minister Tulsi Ram Silavat on Wednesday made shramdaan near Kerwa Dam under the ‘Jal Ganga Promotion’ campaign. On this occasion, he called upon all the citizens present to preserve each drop of water. Minister Silavat said that for fulfilling the resolve of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and promoting rivers and ponds, ‘Jal Ganga Promotion’ campaign is being run in the state from 30 March to 30 June. In this campaign, the work of conservation, water conservation and promotion of water sources is being done on a large scale. He said that everyone should make this campaign successful with their active participation.
MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani, MLA Rameshwar Sharma, MLA Vishnu Khatri, Tirath Meena, Janpad Panchayat President Pramod Rajput, Sarpanch Mrs. Meera Tomar, Environment with Abhilash Khandekar, departmental officers and a large number of villagers were present in the Shramdan program organized for water conservation and promotion near Kerwa Dam, Bhopal.
Minister Silavat instructed the officials to beautify and deepen the water sources. He also gave strict instructions to immediately remove all types of encroachments on the ponds of Water Resources Department. Silavat said that the solution of water crisis lies in the water Ganga enrichment campaign. Taking inspiration from the famous Halma system of Jhabua district, he urged everyone to do at least 1 hour shramdaan in his life.

The resolution of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s river joint campaign was informed by the Government of Madhya Pradesh about the completion of the Ken-Betwa and Parvati-Kalisindh River in the state. He informed that availability of water is being ensured from the Ken-Betwa River Combination Project in Bundelkhand region. Silavat also talked about the target to increase irrigation area from 65 thousand hectares to 100 lakh hectares in Madhya Pradesh in the next five years. Minister Silavat pledged to all the people present there to protect and protect water resources. He said that this campaign belongs to all of us and the foundation of its success rests on the active participation of every citizen.
