A Muslim youth has been booked under the Religious Freedom Act at Katara Hills police station. Muslim youth Sohail Khan hid his religion and befriended a Hindu woman on the social media platform Instagram. The accused had described himself as Rahul Sharma at the time of friendship. After some time, there was a love affair between the two and on Thursday they married in a temple in Katrahils. Later, the girl’s relatives asked the accused to reveal the conspiracy of Love Jihad.
The girl lived alone in the township
On the complaint, the police registered a case against the accused and sent him to jail. SI Kaushalendra Singh Baghel, who is investigating the case, said that the 19 -year -old girl lives alone in Jhagariya Basti. His parents have passed away. The maternal uncle living in the neighborhood takes care of him. About three months ago, the girl befriended a person named Rahul Sharma on Instagram. Gradually the conversation turned into a love affair. The young man who described himself as Rahul Sharma came from Vidisha to live in Bhopal.
Used to work
He lived in a rented room near Nadra bus stand and used to do paint. Recently he pressurized the girl to marry. When the woman refused to marry, the accused threatened to make her chatting viral. Due to this, the scared girl came into her words.
Married himself due to not being a priest
On Thursday, the young man took him to a temple in the area. Due to not being a priest, both of them themselves completed the formalities of Panigrahan Sanskar. After this, the accused started living in his house. Meanwhile, when the girl’s maternal uncle asked for documents of her identity, she started to relinquish.
Strictly questioned and said- My name Sohail Khan
On deepening the suspicion, the relatives strictly questioned him, then he told that he is Sohail Khan, a resident of Vidisha. After this, the girl’s relatives informed the officials of Bajrang Dal. They took the young man and took them to the police station. The police recorded the statement of the woman. The accused has registered a case and sent him to jail.
