Due to this, Indore’s day temperature is expected to increase by two to four degrees in the next week. In the month of April, the mercury of the day in Indore is expected to reach 41 to 43 degrees. There is a possibility of heat stroke in Indore in the second week of April.
Electricity demand will increase with temperature
With the increase in temperature, electricity demand will also increase continuously. The city’s electricity demand is expected to reach around 750 MW this year. The figure of electricity demand in Indore rural areas is also expected to reach close to 725 MW.
The power company is engaged in increasing distribution capacity for increasing demand. Meanwhile, maintenance has also started. The demand for electricity in the urban area of Indore at this time is about 450 MW.
Electricity consumption is the highest in the year in the middle of temperature in May. The distribution system of the power company is also affected due to continuous demand for 24 hours and high temperature. With the increase in temperature, the problem of fault in heated transformers and cables also increases. The power company is claiming that the increasing demand between summer will not disturb the distribution this year.
Maintenance for two to four hours
Meanwhile, even before summer and upcoming rains, the company has started maintenance in urban and rural areas. The company is working in urban and rural areas like line improvement and transformer repair in 2 to 4 hours per day. Due to this, electricity can be caused for two to three hours in different areas on different days. According to the company, instructions have been given to complete the work within the stipulated time. People will have to maintain the inconvenience, so there will be maintenance work before the heat increases in the morning.
