Meeting begins under the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to eliminate Naxalism

An important meeting regarding the elimination of Naxalism in Chhattisgarh has started at the Mefare Resort in Nawa Raipur. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is presiding over this high -level meeting. Many senior officials including Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw and Vijay Sharma, are present in the meeting.

Focus is being done in the meeting especially on Kanker, Sukma, Bijapur and Narayanpur districts, where Naxal activities are still active. Collector and SP of these four districts are also involved in the meeting.

In this meeting, Principal Secretary of Panchayat Department Niharika Barik will give an important presentation. The peace proposal of Naxalites will also be discussed in this meeting.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the historic closing ceremony of Bastar Pandum 2025, said that the real development will take place when doctors, collector, barrister and administrative officers will come out of Bastar. He called upon Bastar to be taken beyond the power of pen and computer, not weapons.

Naxalites who surrender will get rehabilitation
The Union Home Minister clarified that the Naxalites who leave the weapons will be brought to the mainstream with full security and respect. But the security forces will take strict action against those who do not put weapons.

New scheme of development: Naxal -free villages will get Rs 1 crore
The Union Home Minister announced that the villages which would cooperate in the surrender of the Naxalites, will be declared a “Naxalite -free village” and a development fund of Rs 1 crore will be given. He appealed that the gram sabha should bring the villages forward in the process of surrender.
