The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has made an important announcement on the new 50 rupee note, which has created a stir in the public about this note. The new 50 rupee note will be signed by Governor Sanjay Malhotra, and will soon be brought into circulation. The RBI also clarified that all the 50 rupee notes issued earlier will remain valid, that is, the old note will not be out of trend.
Also, this new note will suit the design of Mahatma Gandhi (NEW) series, which will be similar to the already released 50 rupee notes. The size and design of the new note will also be the same as before, which will include a picture of the fluorescent blue color and the chariot of Hampi, which reflects the Indian cultural heritage.
What is the specialty of new note?- Behind this note is a picture of Hampi’s chariot, which shows the prosperity and history of Indian culture. The note released in the Mahatma Gandhi (New) series will also have some new security features, which will make it more secure.
Old notes will also be valid- RBI also said that old 50 rupee notes which were issued earlier will remain valid currency and they will not have any effect on the new note.
Update to return 2000 rupee note- At the same time, an important update has also come recently about 2000 rupee notes. The Reserve Bank said that by 31 January 2025, 98.15% 2000 rupee notes have returned to the banking system, and some old notes are still with people.
