Under the ambitious Chief Minister Tirtha Darshan Yojana of the Government of Chhattisgarh, now senior citizens as well as widow and abandoned women in Manendragarh-Chirmi-Bharatpur district will get an opportunity to travel free of free pilgrimage sites.
According to the guidelines issued by the state government, these trips will be conducted simultaneously, so that everyone can enjoy the journey full of faith and reverence. A total of 90 pilgrims from MCB district will get the benefit of traveling under Mukhyamantri Tirtha Darshan Yojana. It will include 15-15 beneficiaries from three district panchayats of the district, 15 from Municipal Corporation Chirmiri, 10 from Municipality Manendragarh, and 5-5 beneficiaries from Nagar Panchayat Ladri, Jhagrakhand, Janakpur and Khongapani.
Free travel by special train of IRCTC
90 beneficiaries selected for this journey will be sent on a pilgrimage by IRCTC through special train. Under this scheme, senior citizens above 65 years of age can also take a assistant with them 21 years or older. It is mandatory for this pilgrimage to be physically healthy. For this, the health certificate issued by the government doctor along with the application form will have to be attached.
Last date for submission of application till 04 April 2025
Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries wishing to take advantage of pilgrimage can submit applications to the District Panchayat or Nagar Panchayat office of their area. Apart from this, they can submit applications directly by reaching the Deputy Director, Social Welfare Department, District Manendragarh (in front of Atmanand Vidyalaya). The last date for submission of application has been set till 04 April 2025, till 5:00 pm. Under this scheme of the Government of Chhattisgarh, devotees will now be able to realize their religious faith without any financial burden.
