Good News! The wait for Delhiites is going to end. Today i.e. from Saturday, Ayushman Bharat Scheme may be implemented in Delhi. The Delhi government has prepared this. According to the information, in the first phase, one lakh people will have a Ayushman card in Delhi. After this, all the eligible Delhiites will be included in it by taking this scheme forward.
Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana is scheduled to sign agreement letters (MOU) between the Center and the Government of Delhi. After this, the target is to make Ayushman card of at least 1 lakh people till 10 April. The BJP had announced before the assembly elections in Delhi that the scheme would be implemented after coming to power. Under Ayushman Yojana, a medical cover of 5 lakh + 5 lakh i.e. 10 lakh rupees will be available in Delhi.
Who will make Ayushman card first
The Ayushman scheme of the central government is to provide better treatment to the poor and needy people. These people will get the benefit of this scheme in Delhi too. According to the information, people who have Antyodaya Ann Yojana (Aay) card, their cards will be made first. After this, the numbers of BPL card holders will come. It is believed that initially one lakh Antyodaya card holders are going to benefit from this scheme.
Budget for Ayushman Scheme
The Delhi government has passed a budget of Rs 2144 crore to implement the Ayushman scheme in Delhi. A medical cover of up to Rs 5 lakh is available in other states on making Ayushman card. This medical cover in Delhi is Rs 10 lakh. Out of this, the Delhi government will bear the cost of 7 lakhs.
How many types of ration cards in Delhi
There are currently two types of ration cards in Delhi. First: Priority Category or BPL card, which are made of people living below the poverty line. These are also called pr cards. Second Antyodaya food card i.e. Aay Card. This category is considered at the lowest rung in terms of poverty line. They are given 35 kg of ration per family every month.
Aay ration card in Delhi
72,77,995 ration cards have been approved in Delhi. According to the number fixed by the central government, 1,56,800 Aay ration cards are approved in Delhi. This card is formed only to the poorest class in the PORST of Poor category. According to a report in the Times of India, the number of Aay ration cards in Delhi in January 2025 was just 66,532. Under the Antyodaya Ann Yojana ration card, 25 kg wheat per family per family and 10 kg of rice is available at Rs 3 per kg. Apart from this, 6 kg sugar is available at the rate of Rs 13.50 per kg.
