On the last day of his two -day stay in Governor Ramen Deka Balod district, he reached the village Sikosa of Gundradehi development block and visited the newly constructed houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Rural. He met Kamlesh Sahu and Bodhiram, the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Rural of Village Sikosa and their families and asked for their well -being. In addition to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Deka took information from these two beneficiaries regarding the benefits they are getting from other public welfare schemes of the government. Governor Deka presented gifts to the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and also congratulated them on getting the gift of the new house.
Today, along with the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, there was a lot of curiosity about the arrival of Governor Ramen Deka in village Sikosa. Expressing happiness over the Governor’s arrival in his village, the villagers said that the person who enshrined in the highest constitutional post of the state to be present in his village is a very important moment for all of us. Villagers said that they are the first governor to meet the beneficiaries directly and investigate their actual status.
Governor Deka is meeting the needy and last line people of the society during his stay and is taking information about the real status of implementation of government schemes on the ground. This is an innovative effort.
