Raipur
When Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the beneficiaries during the inauguration-Shilanas ceremony of general assembly and development works held at village Mohabhatta in Bilaspur district, a special moment came on the stage-simple, brief but lively, intimate and abstract dialogue between Prime Minister and Dallu Ram Baiga.
The Prime Minister smiled and asked –
“Have a pucca house?”
Dallu Ram replied with folded hands –
“Yes, it has become.”
Prime Minister Modi again asked affectionately –
“Do you feel good or not?”
Emotional Dallu Ram replied
“I’m liking it.”
The Prime Minister finally asked –
“The rest is OK?”
Dallu Ram said with confidence –
“Ok.”
This dialogue was not a formal question -answer, but a clear depiction of faith, sensation and partnership.
Today is a very special and unforgettable day for three lakh poor families of Chhattisgarh. Today, on the first day of Chaitra Navratri, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made him home in his dreams. These include a large number of poor and disadvantaged families of remote forests. These are such families who were not a scheme like Prime Minister’s residence, then rarely they could fulfill the dream of their own pucca house. This scheme is fulfilling the big dream of millions of poor families of the state.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today handed over the keys of new houses to three tribal families of remote areas in Mohabhatta in Bilaspur today. Mrs. Somari Punem of Cherpal Panchayat in Bijapur district, Dalluram Baiga of village Hathidob in Kabirdham district and Pahari Korwa Jagatpal Ram of Kardana Panchayat in Jashpur district, when Prime Minister Modi symbolized the keys of his newly constructed pucca houses from the stage, was made to see their happiness.
Bread, cloth and house are the most basic needs of every human being. In backward rural and tribal areas where there is a huge shortage of resources even today, a firm house is not just a wall and roof, but a symbol of respect, security and confidence.
Dalluram Baiga of the special backward tribe Baiga community once lived in the shadow of raw soil and insecurity in the house of raw soil. In the rain, water dripping from the roof, weak earthen walls and poisonous animals crawling in the silence of the night… In such a situation it was a daily struggle to live with the whole family.
The journey of his dream home started after the sanction of Dalluram’s residence under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana. Along with financial assistance of two lakh rupees for housing construction, 95 days of MNREGA wages were also received as 23 thousand rupees. Other schemes also provided basic facilities like LPG, toilets and electricity. Now Dallaram and his family are not only living in a safe house, but are also making their identity in the society with self -respect and pride.
Smile of fulfilling dreams of walls
Jagatpal Ram of village Kardna, situated in the remote region of Jashpur district of the hill Korba community, called the adopted son of the President, was spending his life in a broken hut for years. During the rainy season, water was dripping from the roof, there was an atmosphere of mud and fear inside. There was also a lack of basic facilities like snake-scorpions, the burden of repairing the hut, and electricity every year.
Under the Prime Minister’s Tribal Tribal Justice Maha Abhiyan, the Pradhan Mantri Janman Awas Yojana brought the light of hope for Jagatpal. With the help of two lakh rupees received under the scheme, Jagatpal built a clean, strong pucca house where there are not only rooms to live, but also toilets and electricity. Now his family is protected from torrential rains, wild animals and darkness of the night.
Today, when Jagatpal sits in front of his house, there is a smile of satisfaction on his face. This smile is not just the walls, but the smile of the dream to be fulfilled. Like Jagatpal, thousands of poor and disadvantaged tribal families have a similar story, whose life has been filled with happiness by the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Broken dreams got support and roof of hope grown in earthen courtyard
Struggling for years, Somari Punem never thought that he would have a paved roof on his head one day. After the husband’s death, she was living her life amid countless difficulties of life under a small dripping thatch with her son. After the launch of Nayed Nella Nella Yojana, when he came to know about the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, his eyes shone. She says-“I put a little savings that I had with me. Every day, he sat down with the laborers and raised the bricks itself… and my confidence was also prepared. After the last months of hard work, the pucca housing is ready. Now the rains do not fear, do not fear, the nights are also relaxed. The nights also seem relaxed. The sunlight is not only a walls, no even walls are left.”
60 -year -old Somari, who lives in Cherpal, Bijapur, says – “Today when I go inside the door of my house, I think I am not alone. The dream of my heavenly husband with me is also breathing in this house.” The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana did not give Somari just one house. This plan has descended as the foundation of trust in his life, walls of self -esteem and future roof.
