In MP, the Bhopal Municipal Corporation has appealed to the taxpayers to compulsorily pay the merit, water charges and other taxes of the financial year 2024-25 by March 31. If not paid by 31 March, taxpayers will have to pay double the amount from 1 April. The government has announced a special discount of 100 percent on online payment of property, water charges and other consumer charges by 31 March. This scheme has brought a big benefit for all taxpayers who want to pay tax through online. The Bhopal Municipal Corporation has appealed to the taxpayers to compulsorily pay these taxes by 31 March, so that any type of fine can be avoided.
100 percent discount plan
The government has announced a 100 percent discount to those citizens under this scheme. By 31 March, wealth, water charges and other consumer will pay online. If a taxpayer does not pay his payable amount till 31 March, he will have to pay double the amount from April 1. This special discount is to give relief to the citizens, so that they can adopt on time and avoid any additional amount.
Online payment process
The Municipal Corporation has prepared an easy process for online tax payment. Official website of taxpayer municipal corporation www.bhopalmunicipal.com You can go directly to the property payment section. After entering their property ID here, they can check their due amount. Many options like debit/credit card, UPI, net banking are available for payment. After completion of payment, the taxpayer will get a receipt, which will have to be downloaded and protected.
Offline payment facility
Special arrangements have also been made for those who want to deposit tax in an offline manner. All zones and ward offices of Bhopal Municipal Corporation will be open till 31 March. Taxpayers can go to offices from 10 am to 6 pm and pay property, water charges and other taxes. This facility is for those who are unable to pay online or want to get offline payment facility.

The Bhopal Municipal Corporation has appealed to the taxpayers to deposit the tax on time, so that they do not have to pay any penalty. The corporation has warned that after March 31, all taxes will be charged double the fee. That is why the Municipal Corporation has appealed to the taxpayers to pay by 31 March, so that any citizen can avoid additional fees.
