DRG and CRPF personnel left in the morning on the information about Naxalite commander Jagdish on the hill of Gogunda in Keralapal police station area of ​​Sukma district, an encounter took place in the morning in which 16 Naxalites were killed and two soldiers were injured.

It is reported that the security forces killed 16 Naxalites in the encounter and two soldiers have suffered minor injuries. Please tell that an encounter between security forces and Naxalites started in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh on Saturday morning. According to the police, the encounter took place in a forest in the Kerlapal police station area, where a joint team of security forces had set out on an anti -Naxal operation.

DIG Kamlochan Kashyap said that the deadbody of 16 Naxalites has been recovered. The way weapons have been found, it is clear that even the big cadres among the slain Naxalites. The encounter is going on now.

DIG said that the operation will end, then search will be done, only then it will be clear how much more damage has been done to the Naxalites. Automatic weapons like INSAS, SLR have also been recovered. The number of killed Naxalites is expected to increase.

Earlier on March 25, security forces killed 3 Naxalites including Rs 25 lakh prize Naxalite Sudhir alias Sudhakar. In the Bastar range, the soldiers have encountered 100 Naxalites in an encounter in 2025.

Operation started on the basis of intelligence input

An official said that the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel are involved in this operation. The campaign was started on Friday night after receiving intelligence information about the presence of Maoists in that area.

Automatic weapon recovered

The firing started in the mountainous area at 6.50 am. This was followed by an encounter in Nilavaya, Uplli. The same two soldiers killed in this were injured. The injured soldiers are being sent to Raipur for treatment through helicopter.

The entire encounter was monitored by SP Kiran Chavan from the war room. The soldiers will return to the camp after searching. Automatic weapons have been recovered in the encounter.

There was a 2 major encounter on March 20 in Bastar division of Chhattisgarh. 30 Naxalites have been killed in it. The first encounter took place on the Bijapur-Dantewada border and the second on Kanker-Narayanpur border. Bastar IG Sundararaj P. told that 26 Naxalites were killed in an encounter in Bijapur.

In this encounter, a soldier of DRG (District Reserve Guard) was also martyred. At the same time, 4 Naxalites were killed in an encounter in Kanker area. Here, the third Naxal incident took place on the Narayanpur-Dantewada border. Two soldiers were injured after being hit by an IED blast in Thulthuli area here.

Three Naxalites were killed

Earlier on Tuesday, three Naxalites were killed in an encounter with security forces in Dantewada district. These included a prize money of 25 lakh rupees, Sudhir alias Sudhakar alias Murali. Along with this, a large quantity of ammunition including INSAS rifle, 303 rifle was recovered from the spot.

Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rai said that the presence of Naxalites was reported in the border areas of Girsapara, Neel, Bodga and Ikili in Geedam police station area located on the border of Dantewada and Bijapur districts. After this, the team of DRG and Bastar Fighters set out on the anti -Maoist campaign. On seeing the security forces, Naxalites started firing.

After this, three Naxalites were killed on the spot during counter -firing. One of them was identified as Sudhir alias Sudhakar alias Murali, who had a reward of 25 lakh rupees on his head.
