Also, 2 lakh 8 thousand 469 IMEI has also been blocked. IMEI usually contains a unique number in the mobile phone. By blocking it, that device does not work on any network, that is, it is not possible to make calls, etc. Information about this has been given in the Lok Sabha. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Sanjay Kumar said in a written reply that the Government of India has taken action after police reports.

Thousands of Skip ID and WhatsApp account block
It has been reported that the Indian Cyber ​​Crime Coordination Center (i4C), which is under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has also blocked more than 3,962 Skype IDs and 83 thousand 668 WhatsApp accounts being used for digital arrest. The main task of i4C is to report financial fraud and prevent criminals from withdrawing money.

Save 4386 crore to public
In the Lok Sabha, it has been told by the government that after more than 13.36 lakh complaints, about Rs 4,386 crore of public has been saved from going to criminals. These figures show how big the scope of cyber crimes is and how much number of people are falling victim to online fraud.
