The Chhattisgarh government has resumed the pilgrimage scheme. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has flagged off the pilgrimage train at a program organized at Raipur railway station. Under this scheme, senior citizens and low -income families of the state will get an opportunity to travel to major pilgrimage centers. During this, CM Sai said that the sensitive government has taken this initiative so that elderly devotees can get the fruits of pilgrimage.
Chhattisgarh government is fulfilling Modi’s guarantee
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said, this scheme is part of the public welfare policies of our government. We want every citizen of the state to get an opportunity to see the holy pilgrimage centers of the country, no matter what their economic condition is. We are fulfilling another Modi guarantee. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised the public at the time of elections, during which it was also included in Modi’s guarantee, which the Chhattisgarh government is completing it. During this, CM Sai spoke to the passengers at the program organized at Raipur railway station and greeted them.
The purpose of the pilgrimage scheme
The objective of the Chief Minister Tirtha Darshan Yojana is to make the poor and senior citizens travel to the major and famous pilgrimage centers of the country. Financial assistance will be provided by the government to ensure that people of all classes get the benefit of religious visits.
Going to pilgrimage sites outside Chhattisgarh, people of the state will get an opportunity to see new places. Let us know that the devotees traveling in the train will be provided food and drinking arrangements, travel insurance and other facilities. Under the scheme, the government will bear the expenses of the journey, so that poor families do not have to bear the financial burden.
How will the benefit of the scheme be available?
Interested beneficiaries will have to apply online or through district administration. Age limit to senior citizens (over 60 years) priority. Priority will be given to low -income families in the economic background. In the selection process, the beneficiaries will be selected through a transparent lottery system.
Significantly, this scheme was earlier started during the BJP government, but it was closed during the tenure of the Congress government. Now Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has decided to resume it.
