Heathro Airport in London, which is one of the world’s busiest airports, has been completely discontinued today. The decision was taken due to a “significant power crisis” that was generated due to a major fire near the airport.

Power crisis caused by fire
While issuing a statement on social media, the management of Heathro Airport said that there has been a fire in the power sub -station that supplies power to the airport, causing a serious power crisis. Due to this, it has been decided to keep the airport closed till 11:59 pm on 21 March from the security point of view.

Firefighters present at the scene
The London Fire Brigade said that after the fire in the transformer, 10 fire brigade vehicles and about 70 firefighters have been deployed on the spot. Fire Brigade Assistant Commissioner Pat Golborn said that firefighters have taken out 29 people safely from nearby buildings. In terms of security, a radius of 200 meters has been surrounded and about 150 people have been sent to safe places.

Advice for passengers
Heathro Airport has appealed to passengers not to come to the airport and contact their airlines for information about their flights. The airport administration is keeping an eye on the situation and is trying to restore services as soon as possible.
