Bhopal

The work of soil testing has been started for the construction of the blue line under Bhopal Metro. This testing is being done so that the foundation of pillars and metro stations can be strengthened. Tests are being done at many places to check the clay strength, ensuring that the ground is suitable for construction work.

Testing done in these places

So far, soil testing has been done for pillars on the station and ITI-JK Road in front of Kushabhau Thackeray Convention Center (Minto Hall). This process will continue even further and testing will be done on the entire 13 km long route.

The station at Kushabhau Thackeray Convention Center will also be built at a station Kushabhau Thackeray Convention Center. The Bogada Bridge (Interchange) section will be created as the 14th station. Where there will be an interchange of the orange line built between Karond Square to AIIMS and the blue line running between Bhadbhada intersection to Ratnagiri Tiraha.
Soil testing is happening in two ways. The first test is being held in places where pillars will be made. At the same time, the second test is being done under the metro station.

This will be a section where passengers will be able to get off one metro and ride in another. The part of Bridge Bogda is near Subhash Nagar to AIIMS (priority track). Therefore, work will be started soon on the interchange section. This is because the interchange section will have to be designed now.

Soil test will be in two stages

This detects the strength of the land and the ability to bear the load. Soil testing for the metro station: This is being done in places where metro stations will be built. This testing is ensured that the soil structure is stable and strong.

When will the blue line be completed?

Construction work of Bhopal Metro’s blue line has started in 2024 and has been targeted to be completed by 2027. After the completion of this project, the city’s public transport system will become faster, efficient and convenient.
