You are the diamonds of the sports world of the state. The government will carry you, move and take you to the international stage. All possible resources and support will be provided for you.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said this while honoring the players of Chhattisgarh who won medals at Goa and Uttarakhand National Games at the National Sports Winner Honor ceremony held at the Chief Minister’s residence today. The Chief Minister honored 72 players of Chhattisgarh in the 37th National Game held in Goa in the year 2023 and 58 players of Chhattisgarh medalist at the 38th National Games held in Uttarakhand in the year 2025.

Chief Minister Sai honored the players and said that all of you are pride of Chhattisgarh. You have not only won medals, but have also increased the value of the entire state. All of you have elevated the head of Chhattisgarh proudly. Chief Minister Sai called upon the players to now illuminate Chhattisgarh and India on global forums like Asiad, Commonwealth and Olympics.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said in his address that today we are feeling very proud by honoring the National Games winning players held in Goa and Uttarakhand. All of you have illuminated the name of Chhattisgarh with your brilliant performance, for this, all you are praised, it is less.

Chief Minister Sai said that we have awarded an amount of Rs 1 crore 7 lakh 60 thousand to 72 players of the state who won medals in Goa and Rs 87 lakh 60 thousand to 58 players who won the National Games in Uttarakhand. Thus, through the ceremony, a total of Rs 1 crore 95 lakh 20 thousand to 130 national medalist players of Chhattisgarh is being transferred to the account of our talented players.

Our government has announced special awards for Olympic winning players

Chief Minister Sai said that our government has announced special awards for all the players of the state who will bring medals in the Olympic Games. Our government has decided to give three crore rupees to the players who won the gold medal in the Olympic Games, two crore rupees to the players who won the silver medal and one crore rupees to the players who won the bronze medal.

Return of sports in Bastar region, symbol of new hope and trust

Chief Minister Sai said that when the Maoist returned peace in Bastar after facing terror for years, we also returned the game, we organized Bastar Olympics. He said that where people were afraid to keep their feet too, today thousands of players are playing there. There was a lot of enthusiasm among the people, it would have been less in the whole country that 1 lakh 65 thousand participants participated in a sports event and the event which was held in Bastar division where the population is quite rare than the remaining places. Such people also participated in it, who had lost their limbs in Naxal violence. Surprised Naxalites also participated. Naxal violence affected families also participated. Government is making efforts to provide the best sports infrastructure to the players

The Chief Minister said that there is a lot of power among our players of our Chhattisgarh. We are preparing a great infrastructure for sports in Chhattisgarh. We have started 7 new centers of Khelo India. Chhattisgarh has all kinds of sports talents. Keeping this in mind, we have made special coaching arrangements for different types of sports. This year we have started three new academy. We have started tennis in Raipur, Hockey in Rajnandgaon and Mallakhamb Academy in Narayanpur.

Traditional sports will get new life: Chhattisgarh Sports Promotion Scheme of Rs 20 crore

The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh is also famous for its traditional sports. For this, we have made a provision of Rs 20 crore under the Chhattisgarh Sports Promotion Scheme for proper development of these games. Our government is committed to promoting sports.

Efficient strategy to win sports, mastery in technology as well as fitness is very important

Chief Minister Sai said that a few days ago we saw the wonderful feats of the players of Mallakhamb on the hills of Dholakal, this was a mesmerized scene. Flexibility is very important for Mallakhamb or any kind of game and it all comes from fitness. To win in sports, efficient strategy, mastery in technology as well as a good level fitness is also very important. Modi ji has run the Fit India Movement. Through fitness, success in sports can be achieved. By staying fit, you also win a healthy lifestyle so that you do any work, you get success in it.

On this occasion, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tankaram Verma encouraged the players in his address and said that the Chhattisgarh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai is committed to promote the game.
