Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Shri Devashish Tripathi, the operation “Meri Saheli” awareness campaign is being conducted by the Railway Protection Force to ensure the safety of women passengers. The purpose of this campaign is to provide safe travel experience to women passengers and take necessary steps to protect from any kind of crisis.
Under the “Operation Meri Saheli”, 15,599 women passengers have been assisted for the requested journey in the year 2025 by the Railway Protection Force, West Central Railway. The Railway Protection Force played an active role in safely delivering these passengers to their destination.

The main objective of this campaign is to prioritize the safety of women passengers. The Railway Protection Force has made special security arrangements, so that women passengers feel confident and safe during the journey. Along with this, RPF has also given information about safety measures and awareness to women passengers, so that there can be a lot of help in any crisis.

RPF has worked on various aspects to ensure the safety of women passengers, including:
Special Safety Management: Women RPF personnel have been deployed to protect women passengers in railway stations and trains.
Awareness campaign: Important information related to security is being provided to women passengers. It is informed about measures to get theft, tampering or help in emergency.
Tatkal solution and assistance: A quick solution to the complaint or problem of women passengers has been ensured. RPF has issued 24 -hour helpline number 139 for early resolution of passengers complaints.
Railway administration appeals to women passengers to always be cautious for their safety and contact RPF immediately in case of any problem or crisis. Women travelers can make their journey safe and confident by using RPF helpline 139 and security measures properly.

Be vigilant with a suspect at the train or station.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Mr. Saurabh Kataria said that under the Operation “Meri Saheli”, RPF personnel are constantly making efforts to make women passengers special to feel security during the journey in trains. A special team of RPF is deployed to provide assistance to women passengers, which ensure their safety at trains and stations.
