Ban in the first month for VIP visit

The registration process for Char Dham Yatra 2025 in Uttarakhand has started from March 20. This year, the government has implemented many new arrangements to make the yatra more smooth and safe. The journey will start from April 30 and devotees can get online or offline registration in advance. This time the journey has been banned for VIP darshan in the first month.

Importance of Char Dham Yatra

Char Dham Yatra holds a special place in Hinduism. The yatra is concluded in four major pilgrimage centers – Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. Devotees get spiritual peace by visiting these dhams located in the sacred litigants of Uttarakhand. Every year millions of devotees participate in this journey.

How to register?

Registration for Char Dham Yatra 2025 can be done through both online and offline mediums.   • 30 April 2025: The doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri will open on the day of Akshaya Tritiya.
  • 2 May 2025: The doors of Kedarnath Dham will open.
  • 4 May 2025: The doors of Badrinath Dham will be opened for devotees.

  • Devotees should be kept with woolen clothes, umbrellas and raincoats during the journey.

Special arrangements for crowd control

Last year, more than 46 lakh devotees participated in the Char Dham Yatra. This time, in view of the overcrowding, the Uttarakhand government has arranged for 10,000 devotees stay and food on the journey route. Also, the philosophy token system has been implemented, so that devotees will be able to visit the Lord at the scheduled time without long queues.

Ban on VIP philosophy

VIP philosophy has been completely banned in the first month of Char Dham Yatra. The Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand has sent information about this decision to all the states so that no VIP will expect the facility.
