Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Union Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, met Microsoft co-founder and co-founder of Gates Foundation, Bill Gates. He attended a meeting held at Krishi Bhawan Delhi in Delhi.

In this meeting, Shivraj Singh Chauhan discussed various important topics related to agriculture, food security, women empowerment, technological innovation and rural development. Chauhan emphasized the possibilities of deepening the partnership between India and Gates Foundation. His entire focus was on the areas of digital agriculture, artificial intelligence, biotechnology and climate customized agricultural techniques. During this, he said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, our livelihood mission has become a movement of women empowerment, which has changed the lives of women.
Bill Gates praises agricultural research
Bill Gates appreciated the agricultural research in India during this period. Praising, he said that this can benefit the whole world a lot. He described India’s leadership ability and innovation as important for global progress. Shivraj Singh Chauhan reiterated India’s commitment to global welfare, following the principle of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’. He hoped that together with the Gates Foundation and other global partners, we would create a geopolitical, strong and self -sufficient world by promoting innovation, technology and inclusive development.
The meeting also discussed detailed discussions on enhancing agricultural yields, digital agricultural extension system, priced agricultural, nutritional security, inclusive livelihood program, advanced animal vaccine, global cooperation in agriculture and rural development. Both sides assured each other to cooperate.
