The Activa Electric has two interchanged batteries, which will ease charging. HMSI has also planned to set up charging stations in various fields for battery exchanging, and there are already 85 charging stations available in Bengaluru.

Activa Electric will have three riding modes

The company has also introduced the QC1 electric scooter with Activa Electric, priced at around ₹ 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom). Talking about the design, the look of the electric version of the Activa has completely changed, which makes it even more attractive. It has LED headlights, turn indicators and LED DRL in front.

Two swapable batteries are placed under the seat, whose total capacity is 1.5 kWh. The range of Activa Electric has up to 102 kilometers in charge and has three riding modes – Standard, Sport, and Econ available. It also has smart features like Honda Roadsync Duo, so that riders can connect their smartphones via Bluetooth, and can use navigation along with phone calls.

Target to set up new factory in India by 2028

HMSI plans to set up a factory for electric two-wheelers, in which the Honda Motor Company of Japan has targeted to set up a new factory for electric two-wheelers in India by 2028. Various electric two-wheeler models will be created in this factory. The company aims to bring the prices of electric two-wheelers equal to two-wheelers with internal combustion engines (ice) in the next three years, so that it can become India’s largest electric two-wheeler company.
