Infosys co-founder NR Narayan Murthy has criticized the trend of distributing things for freebes. He has said that poverty will be removed by preparing employment opportunities, not the country in this way. The Supreme Court had also objected to the frequency culture and said that due to this people are not getting ready to work.
Murthy said on Wednesday that poverty will not be removed from free things, but it will end with the employment of innovative entrepreneurs. In the Tycon Mumbai-2025 program, Murthy called upon entrepreneurs to focus on making more companies and businesses. He said that if we are capable of creating innovative enterprises, poverty will ‘disappear’ like dew in the sunny morning.
Addressing a group of entrepreneurs, Murthy said, ‘I have no doubt that each of you will create hundreds of thousands of jobs and similarly you will solve the problem of poverty. You cannot solve the problem of poverty by giving free gifts, no country has succeeded in this.
This statement of the co-founder of Infosys has come at a time when there is a debate on free things and their cost. Later, Murthy clarified that he did not know much about politics or governance, but he has made some recommendations from the perspective of policy structure.
He said that the improvement in the situation should also be assessed in return for profit. Giving the example of free electricity up to 200 units per month, Murthy said that the state can be surveyed by survey at the end of six months in such houses whether children are studying more. He also said that most of the AI solutions sold these days are ‘silly, old programs’ that are promoted as future work. AI includes ‘machine learning’ and ‘deep learning’ capabilities.
