The people of Bastar live every moment of life like a celebration and they have a rich cultural heritage for the expression of their happiness. We are rapidly taking our steps for the installation of peace in Bastar and we will participate in their celebrations with Bastar Pandum to save the folk life and folk culture of Bastar. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today unveiled the people of Bastar Pandum 2025 in the presence of artists dancing on the beat of Mandar in the committee room located in the assembly premises and said these things. Giving his best wishes for the successful event of Bastar Pandum, he said that the event will provide a strong platform to the talented artists of Bastar along with conveying the cultural heritage to the new generation. On this occasion, the Chief Minister released the booklet of Bastar Pandum.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that after the formation of our government, the development of Bastar and connecting the people with the mainstream has been included in our top priority. We have taken our steps fast towards freeing Bastar from Maoism. He said that Bastar people have also participated extensively in Bastar Olympics and recently held Abujhmad Peace Half Marathon. This indicates that Bastar residents have constantly increased towards governance and they want peace and peace in the region.
Chief Minister Sai said that in the budget, we have taken a big decision to open a hospital in the pompous village who is suffering from Naxalite violence. Through the Need Nella Nella Nar Yojana, we are rapidly fulfilling the basic needs of Bastar residents.
The Chief Minister said that the people of Bastar are known for their simplicity and celebrate every opportunity in their special style. The real life of Bastar can be seen more closely through Bastar Pandum. He said that competitions will be organized in various 7 genres including dance, song, folk art, folk art, drama, craft, customs, tradition and cuisine in Bastar Pandum. Sai said that there should be prosperity in Bastar, people live in fear and live in their style and they should get the benefit of all the facilities of governance.

Bastar Pandum’s logo is showing Bastar’s identity

The folk life of Bastar has been lively displayed in the people of Bastar Pandum and it is deeply connected to his cultural identity. It has been attempted to show Bastar’s legacy in a very artistic manner. “Bastar Pandum” is the word of Gondi which means the celebration of Bastar. The insignia includes Bastar’s lifeline Indravati River, Chitrakoot waterfall, state animal Vanbhansa of Chhattisgarh, state bird hill myna, bison horn crown, trumpet, dhol, sulfi and toddy tree. Of this insignia Through the medium, simple, spontaneous and unique Bastar can be easily known and understood.

Organized on 07 major genres including dance, songs

“Bastar Pandum 2025” will organize tribal dances, songs, plays, instruments, traditional costumes and jewelery, craftsmanship and tribal cuisine and traditional beverages. These events will be held in three phases. District level competition will be held from 12 to 20 March, district level competition 21 to 23 March, division level competition from 1 to 3 April in Dantewada. Special awards and certificates will be provided to the participants at each level.

Major attractions will be based on Bastar’s folk life and traditions

Bastar Pandum will have a great performance of traditional dance-style, songs, customs, costumes, jewelery and traditional cuisine of Bastar. The performance of the contestants will be given marks on the basis of originality, traditionalism and presentation. Society heads, public representatives and senior citizens will be invited as special guests in the event. A special committee has been formed to select the winners of the competition, which will include administrative officials as well as senior heads, priests and experienced artists of tribal society. This will maintain transparency in the competition and will get justice to traditional folk art.
