Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been awarded its biggest civilian honor ‘The Grand Commander of the Star and Ki of the Indian Ocean’ by the Mauritius government. PM Modi has become the first Indian to receive this prestigious honor. Significantly, this is the 21st international honor given by PM Modi by a country.

What PM Modi said on respect
Accepting this honor, PM Modi said, “I accept it politely. This honor is an honor for the deep relations between India and Mauritius. It is also the honor of those Indians who served this earth from generation to generation and brought it to heights. I express my gratitude to the people of Mauritius and the government. ” PM Modi remembered that he came to Mauritius on the same date 10 years ago. He said, “Then Holi was a full week in India, and I had brought the saffron enthusiasm with me. This time I will take the colors of Holi with me. ” Referring to Holi in his style, he said, “Ram’s hand dholak sohe, Laxman Hath Manjira, Bharat’s hand Kanak Pichkari, Shatrughna Hath Abira… Jogira!”

PM Modi linked the historical relations between India and Mauritius with sweetness and said that Chinese came from Mauritius to make sweets in India at one time. For this reason, Chinese in Gujarat is also called Mores. He said, “This sweetness is increasing in India and Mauritius relations over time.”

PM Modi said that whenever he comes to Mauritius, he realizes being among his loved ones. He said, “The air, soil and water here feel familiar. India has fragrance in Geet-Gawai, Dholak’s beat and in Gato Pima (traditional dish of Mauritius). ” PM Modi thanked Mauritius Prime Minister Naveenram Ghulam and his cabinet and congratulated the people of Mauritius on National Day. He said, “We are all a family, and this relationship will always be strong.”
