The police is investigating the case and the accused woman has been arrested. It is reported that the woman was the foster mother of the child. According to media reports, a 10 -year -old child has been identified as Dakota Lawai Stevenues. He was a resident of Indiana. At the same time, the woman’s identity is said to be 48 -year -old Jennifer Lee Wilson, whose weight is about 154 kg. She allegedly sat on the child thinking that she was pretending to be in trouble. Wilson has been jailed for 6 years.
The incident took place on 25 April 2023. The police then found a steven at Wilson’s house. Then he was unconscious. Investigations found the authorities bruises on his neck and chest. The boy later died in the hospital. According to reports, Wilson has told the investigating officials that the boy ran away from the house and reached the neighbor.
He claims that when the boy was brought back, he was still behaving badly and trying to leave the house. The woman has admitted that she sat on the boy for about 5 minutes. During that time he felt that the boy was pretending, but when he did not respond, the woman tried CPR and reported to the police.
The woman has told the court that she only wanted to stop the boy from leaving home. The Autopsy report has revealed that Steven died of mechanical asphixia and the method of death has been considered murder. He suffered serious injuries on the lungs and liver.
