The Consumption of All India Traders (CAT), an organization of retail traders, today said that this year’s Holi is likely to have a business of 60 thousand crores in the country. CAT’s National General Secretary and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Chandni Chowk, Praveen Khandelwal said on Sunday that on the occasion of Holi this year, there is a possibility of trade of more than 60 thousand crores across the country, which is 20 percent more than last year. Last year, the same business was about 50 thousand crores.
Mr. Khandelwal said that traders and customers also boycotted products made in China this time, causing a tremendous bounce in the sale of Indian -made herbal color, gulal, atomizer, sweets, dry fruits, apparel, gift items and other products.
The celebration of Holi has created large economic opportunities for small businessmen, retailers and micro, small and medium subclass (MSME) region. Delhi itself is expected to have a turnover of more than eight thousand crore rupees, where the markets are thronging the markets for shopping for color, gulal, atomizer, sweets and gifts. This time the Holi season is also seeing a huge demand for traditional Indian costumes like white kurta-pajama, salwar-suit and “Happy Holi”.
According to CAT, more than three thousand Holi Milan celebrations are being organized across the country, which is also benefiting the hotel, banquet hall, farmhouse and restaurant sector. There is a high demand for herbal colors and gulal in the market, while the popularity of chemical -rich colors has decreased. Especially with Spider -Man and Chhota Bheem theme Pichkari, Gulal Spray and Pressure Tank Pichkari are being well liked.
Shri Khandelwal said that Holi will be lit in Delhi on March 13 while the festival of colors will be celebrated on 14 March. Markets are also seen dyed in the color of Holi. Apart from colorful gulal and atomizer in the market, shops are adorned with Gujiya’s necklaces and nuts. People are increasing daily for shopping in Bazar. He said that due to the tradition of carrying fruits and sweets of relatives on Holi, a crowd of people for shopping remained at the shops for shopping. Due to this, there is a stir in the market. Instead of chemical -rich gulal and color, herbal color, Abir and Gulal are the most demanded in the markets, while the demand for balloons and atomizers is more than that of previous years.
The National General Secretary of CAT said that this time different types of squirrel balloons and other attractive items have come in the market. Pressure squirrel is available from Rs 100 to Rs 350. The atomizer in the form of tanks is available from Rs 100 to Rs 400. Apart from this, fancy pipes are also in a biggest market. Children are very fond of children Spider -Man, Chhota Bheem etc.
