On the tenth day of the budget session of Chhattisgarh Assembly, Congress MLAs created a ruckus in protest against the action of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Shouting slogans against the BJP government, the opposition MLAs reached the sanctum sanctorum, due to which they were suspended. In protest, Congress MLAs boycotted the day -long proceedings and staged a sit -in in front of the Gandhi statue. Finance Minister OP Chaudhary has condemned the Congress for boycott of the assembly.
Minister OP Chaudhary said that “Mafiaraj went on in the previous government and now the scams that have taken place, action is sure to be taken on them. Whether the MLA is from the BJP or the Congress, if someone has carried out the scam, then there will be an investigation. The whole country knows how Mafiaraj has run in the last five years. Congress leaders carried out scams and now they are being acted upon. ”
He also questioned the opposition’s uproar and said that the Congress MLAs did not let the Question Hour run, while they could keep their point later. He said that Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw himself went to convince the Congress MLAs, but he did not participate in the proceedings of the House.
‘Congress is harming democracy’
Criticizing the attitude of the Congress, OP Chaudhary said, “Assembly is the largest panchayat in the state, where people spend crores of rupees. Inhibiting the process of the House, it is like hurting the soul of democracy. ”

According to the information, the ED team has raided the house of Chaitanya Baghel, including the residence of Bhupesh Baghel at Bhilai and a total of 14 locations across the state. At present, different teams of ED have conducted simultaneous raids in Raipur, Bhilai and other districts, where important documents are being closely investigated.
Bhupesh Baghel called it a ‘conspiracy’
When the false case, which has been going on for seven years, was dismissed in court, today ED guests have entered the Bhilai residence of former Chief Minister, Congress General Secretary Bhupesh Baghel this morning. If someone is trying to stop the Congress in Punjab with this conspiracy, then it is a misunderstanding.
In which cases investigation is being done?
According to sources, this action of ED is being taken in matters related to money laundering and economic irregularities. However, it is not yet clear which particular case this raid is related to. It is being told that the name of former CM Bhupesh Baghel was revealed in the liquor scam, coal scam and Mahadev Satta app case, after which he was on the radar of ED.
